Team 4509, the "Mechanical Bulls", is a FIRST Robotics rookie team based at Lanier High School in Sugar Hill, GA.  We have some roots and connections to Team 1771 from North Gwinnett, and hope to collaborate with them, as well as other GCPS teams.

For those not familiar with FIRST, it's the ultimate robotics competition, the "superbowl of the mind", for high school.  At Lanier, we hope to create an environment that focuses on the newcomer, and to develop a community feel. (Why Team 4509?  That's the number they gave us.)

The primary mentors for the team will be Mike Reilly and John Becker, but we welcome others like parents, uncles, etc.!  We need support in the form or knowledge, cash and snacks!

FIRST is all about "Inspiration" and learning.  Beginners are our priority, right after safety.  Winning competitions is cool, but learning and loving engineering is even cooler.  And there's $50 million in scholarships!!  Check that our here: https://www.firstinspires.org/scholarships
